Background Removal

Automatically remove backgrounds from images using AI.

In the Editor

1. Add or select an image layer
2. Click Remove Background in the toolbar (or right-click menu)
3. Wait for processing (usually 2-5 seconds)
4. The background is replaced with transparency

Best Results

Good for:

• Product photos on solid backgrounds
• Portrait photos
• Objects with clear edges
• Simple compositions

May need refinement:

• Complex hair/fur details
• Transparent objects (glass, water)
• Shadows (may be partially removed)
• Multiple subjects

Tips

• Start with high-quality images
• Images with good contrast work best
• Use PNG format to preserve transparency
• Combine with a new background layer

After Removal

Once the background is removed, you can:

1. Add a solid color background layer
2. Add a gradient background
3. Keep transparent for PNG exports
4. Composite with other images

Example Workflow

1. Upload product photo with white background
2. Remove background → transparent
3. Add brand-colored rectangle behind product
4. Export as PNG or place on marketing template

Limitations

• Processing time varies with image complexity
• Very fine details (individual hairs) may not be perfect
• Works best with clear subject/background separation
