# How to Upgrade Your Plan

Need more credits, more templates, team members or the Embedded Editor? Upgrade to a paid plan.

## Steps to upgrade

1. Log in at https://app.templated.io
2. Click **Upgrade** in the sidebar, or go directly to https://app.templated.io/upgrade
   - You can also open **Account Settings** (https://app.templated.io/account) and click **Upgrade** in the Subscription section.
3. Choose **Billed Monthly** or **Billed Annually**.
4. Pick a plan: Starter, Scale or Enterprise.
5. Enter your card details and, if you want, your company tax ID.
6. Confirm the payment. You return to Templated and your new plan is active.

- Annual prices are shown per month and charged once per year.
- Scale and Enterprise include the Embedded Editor (white-label). HTML export is Enterprise only.
- Customers in Brazil see prices and pay in BRL.

## What happens when you upgrade

- **New limits apply immediately:** credits, template limit, team members and plan features.
- **Credits used this month still count.** Your new monthly total replaces the old one, and the credits you already used this month are subtracted from it. Example: you used 900 of 1,000 credits on Starter and upgrade to Scale. You now have 900 of 5,000 used, so 4,100 credits left.
- Credits from the free trial that you already used also count for the current month.
- Credits reset on the 1st of every month for all paid plans, not on your billing date.
- All your templates, renders, folders and settings stay the same.
- **Failed renders are not queued.** If some renders failed because you ran out of credits, send them again after upgrading.

## Changing or downgrading an existing plan

- Open **Account Settings** (https://app.templated.io/account) and click **Manage Subscription**.
- If you can't find the option to change your plan, ask in the chat and our team will help you.
- Only the **team owner** can see and change the subscription.

Plans above 25,000 credits per month are handled case by case by our team. Ask in the chat and a team member will help you.

## FAQ

Q: How do I upgrade?
A: Go to https://app.templated.io/upgrade, choose monthly or annual billing, pick a plan and pay with your card.

Q: Where is the Upgrade button?
A: In the dashboard sidebar, and in Account Settings > Subscription. Or open https://app.templated.io/upgrade.

Q: Do I get the new credits right away?
A: Yes. The new limits apply as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Q: Do I lose credits when I upgrade mid-month?
A: No, but credits you already used this month still count. Your remaining credits are the new plan's total minus what you used.

Q: Do my unused credits from the old plan get added on top?
A: No. The new plan's monthly total replaces the old one.

Q: Will my templates and renders be kept?
A: Yes. Nothing is deleted when you upgrade.

Q: Can I upgrade for one month and downgrade later?
A: Yes. Upgrade now and change your plan later in Manage Subscription. There are no credit packs.

Q: Is annual billing cheaper?
A: Yes. For example Starter is $29/month billed annually instead of $39/month billed monthly.

Q: Which plan do I need for the Embedded Editor?
A: Scale or Enterprise.
