# What is a Render?

# What is a Render?

A **render** is the final file you create using Templated.
It's the output generated when your template, layers, and data come together.

For example:
* If you use a template with a product image and add dynamic text (like a price or name), the render is the **final image or PDF** with that information included.
* Renders can be exported in formats such as **JPG, PNG, or PDF**, depending on your needs.

Think of it this way:
* **Template** = the design structure (layout, fonts, placeholders).
* **Render** = the finished design (with your own content applied).

Each time you call the API or download from the editor, you're creating a render.
