# When Do Credits Reset?

Credits on paid plans reset on the **1st day of every calendar month**, for all customers at the same time. The reset does not depend on the day you subscribed or on your billing date.

## Reset schedule

- **When:** the 1st of each month, shortly after midnight UTC (between 00:00 and 01:00 UTC, depending on the time of year).
- **Who:** all accounts with an active paid subscription (Starter, Scale, Enterprise).
- **Same date for everyone:** if you subscribed on January 15, your credits reset on February 1, March 1, and so on.
- Your billing date (the day you are charged) can be different from the reset date. That is normal.

You can see the next reset date in **Account Settings** (https://app.templated.io/account) > **Credits & Limits** ("Credits renew on ...") and in the dashboard sidebar.

## Important notes

- **Unused credits do not roll over.** They expire at the reset.
- **Free trial credits never reset.** The 50 trial credits are given once at signup.
- **Upgrading mid-month:** the new plan's credits are available right away. Credits you already used this month still count.
- **Annual plans** also reset every month on the 1st. You get your monthly credits each month, not the whole year at once.
- If your payment is past due, new renders are blocked until the payment is fixed. See "Managing Your Subscription and Payments".

## Need more credits before the reset?

- Upgrade your plan at https://app.templated.io/upgrade. The new credits are available immediately. You can downgrade later.
- There are no credit packs or top-ups.
- For volumes above 25,000 credits per month, this is handled case by case by our team. Ask in the chat and a team member will help you.
