Commercial Use and Licensing
You own what you create
- Templates you create belong to you. This includes templates made in the editor, generated with the AI Template Generator, imported from Canva or PSD, or created through the API or MCP.
- All renders belong to you. Images, PDFs and videos you generate are yours.
Commercial use
You can use your templates and renders for commercial purposes. For example, you can:
- Use them in ads, social media, websites, emails and print.
- Deliver them to your clients.
- Sell them as products (for example certificates, posters, cards or personalized designs).
- Use them in your own app or SaaS.
No attribution to Templated is required.
Assets you upload
Images, fonts, logos and videos that you upload keep their original license. Make sure you have the right to use them commercially. For example, a font you upload must have a license that allows commercial use.
Watermarks
Templated never adds a watermark to renders, on any plan, including the free trial.
If you see unexpected text or a logo on a render, check the template: it is part of the design. If the template was created by an AI assistant (for example through MCP), the assistant may have added that text itself. Remove the layer in the editor.
Embedded Editor (white-label)
With the Embedded Editor (Scale and Enterprise), you can offer the editor inside your own product with your logo and colors. The designs your users create are yours to deliver. See https://templated.io/docs/embed/
